Homophobics
I have been thinking since class on wednesday, and well, I still can't believe that 15 year olds (kids) are shooting other kids over homosexuality. Not that any reason for one kid killing another would ever be exceptable, but this just really shocked me. Of all the reasons to hate someone... I don't really understand the fear and hatred that surrounds the gay community, I mean, what are people so affraid of, and why would one chose to not like a person based souly on their sexual orientation? *sigh* It's just depressing.

I agree that it is really sad that people are so angered by those around them that they don't understand or don't accept that they hate them and in this case, actually turn violent. It's been a part of our world probably since the beginning of time and while I think some people are starting to be more open minded, there are always going to be those who just don't get it and their opinions will not change. Tolerance and acceptance have to be ingrained in you so all we can do is help our own children to find the good in everyone, regardless of their differences.
